1971 mustang convertable purchased Dec 20th 2006. Had severe front and rear damage as well as severe rust. The front clip was removed and a donor clip welded in. The entire engine bay was hand fabricated. The bumpers were flush fit and everything shaved. Every piece of sheet metal has been modified. The wheel base was stretched and 1970 mach1 quarters grafted on. The car rides on TCP air ride in the front and a custom 3 link with shock waves in the rear. The wheels are 18" magnum 500's. The engine is a 351c (450+hp) with aluminum heads, full roller, 11:1 compression, balanced and ported. Backed by a T5 trans and 9 inch with a 370 posi. The plan is to drive it in bare steel for a year or two. Eventually the car will be calypso coral (69 boss red) with 71 boss satin black paint scheme (no lettering). Check out www.rodsnrestos.ca

This project is one of the nicest resto mods I have seen. The car is a personal favorite of mine, so I enjoyed seeing what a good fabricator can do to make it an even better example. Well done.
