About my Mustang

We had purchased this car back in 1994, for the sum of $350.00 and it had sat idle for many years. Then the "Gone In 60 Seconds" movie hit and that would change everything. My wife had spotted a GT500E for sale, that turned out to be an internet hoax. Three weeks after the disappointment of the hoax confirmation, I spotted numerous boxes in my fathers garage. These boxes would turn out to be the start of our version of this movie car. The car we had started with needed to have every piece replaced except for the roof panel and dash board, they would be the only pieces that would remain original. Through the course of a three year long, off and on aproach the car was completed in June of 2007. My father deserves most of the credit for making the car what it is today, along with the help of a good friend and excellent bodyman. My efforts on the build side were limited, but the themes and direction of the build were my contribution. The car is powered by a .030 over 5.0 liter Ford motor, that sports a Comp Cams roller set-up with an Edelbrock induction system, Hooker headers with side exiting exhaust. This is all backed by a 5-speed transmission and a 3.90:1 locker rearend. The engine was built by a local machine shop and the the paint work was performed by our friend Steve at a local body shop. The interior features a TMI sport seat package with carbon fiber inlays, on a 1965 pony style design. The dash is an engine turned unit produced by Haneline.  The various parts were supplied by the following dealers: Laurel Mountain Mustangs, CJ Pony Parts, Mustangs Unlimited and Tony Branda. The work was all worth while, because it allows my dad and I to hang out together at all of the local shows and meet alot of nice people. My wife and 3 year old have a blast with the car. I look forward to hearing your feedback.
