A survivor from the 70's, my parents purchased the 1973 Mach 1 in Dec. 1972 as a surprise birthday present while I was away on a Navy deployment in the Southeast Asia. Today it is still here with original 105K+ miles on the odometer. During restoration 10 years ago, the original 351-2V was pulled and replaced with a 1971 351C-4V CJ motor with 64cc closed chambered DOAE heads, D2AE-CA 4-bolts main engine block, and Boss 351 harmonic balancer. Performance upgrades includes Crane cam, TRW forged pistons, Crane valves, Crane roller rockers, Cobra 735cfm Holley/Autolite carburetor, Boss 351 intake, and Hooker headers. Transmission is C6 with B&M internal parts, and 2500RPM stall converter. Out back is a 9" traction-Lok with 3.73 ring gear. Today the Mach is still look as new with Sekkins exterior paint job.
