Here's my 65 Mustang Coupe, I have owned for 17 years. It has the following mods:
289 with Edelbrock performer intake, Comp cam, ceramic coated headers and some chrome to brighten the engine bay.
Shelby fiberglass hood, Spintech side exhaust, Chrome Coys C-67 in 17x8 wearing 215/40/17 in the front and 255/40/17 in the rear.
Suspension consist of 2 inch lowering blocks in the rear and stock springs in front, cut to get my desired stance.
JL Audio stereo component system runs through the whole car, along with a lot of Dynamat to keep things from rattling.
It recently won the "Coolest 60's" award at the Goodguys in Pleasanton, CA and at Mustangs Plus in April.
